Friends of Hardeman County Animal Control - 2011 March of Dogs
Animal Shelter
Six years ago, a small group of concerned animal lovers joined together to form an organization that could assist in finding suitable homes, through adoption, for the many homeless dogs in this county.  Friends of Hardeman County Animal Control was born out of a desire to save as many dogs as possible from the fate of starvation, abandonment, abuse, or ultimately... euthenasia.  This group has grown and now encompasses a large number of citizens, not only from this county, but is being assisted by a network of rescue organizations throughout the country.

The new animal shelter is now open to the public.  The address is 75 Landfill Way.  It is located on Walton Road , off Highway 64 (at the county landfill).

The shelter has 30 air-conditioned runs to accommodate the never-ending supply of homeless dogs.  At any given time, you can find dogs of every possible breed imaginable (from full-blooded pedigrees, to adorable mutts), who simply need a home.  Many have been abandoned by their owners.  Some have been brought in by concerned citizens. All are waiting and hoping for a family to love them.  For more information on how you can help these animals, or to learn about the dogs currently available for adoption, go to www.Petfinder.com and search by Bolivar, TN.  You can also find us on Facebook at Hardeman Adoptable Animals.
